Karnataka 1-0 Meghalaya
Venue: Khardah Ground
Karnataka opened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Meghalaya. The only goal of the game was scored in the 89th minute by Don Bosco and it gave the South Indian state a winning start.
Cluster II
Maharashtra 4-0 Chandigarh
Venue: Howrah Stadium
Maharashtra started with a blast by thrashing Chandigarh 4-0. Surojit Bose bagged a brace while his team mates Ruben D’Souza and Alex Ambrose scored one each. The result will surely give Maharashtra a lot of confidence for the remaining two matches of the cluster.
Tripura 1-2 Andhra Pradesh
Venue: Barasat Stadium
The other game of Cluster II saw Tripura and Andhra Pradesh go head to head. The latter won it in the end by the margin of 2-1. Fajjal broke the deadlock for Andhra in the 6th minute and W.Vijay Kumar doubled their advantage four minutes later. Tripura pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Liton Majumdar but it proved to be a consolation goal in the end.
