    Rooney's in for a roasting

WAYNE ROONEY has been warned to expect a major roasting from Everton fans when he returns to his old club with Manchester United on Saturday.

Roo will be marked by his England team-mate Phil Jagielka at Goodison Park.

And the Everton defender says United's star striker will get even more abuse than normal after revelations that he cheated on his wife Coleen with hookers.
Asked if Rooney will get slaughtered by Everton supporters, Jagielka said: "There's a good chance.
He normally gets quite a bit of stick anyway. I can't see that changing.
"I am sure Wayne can deal with it. He is a tough lad and he will let his football do the talking."
Rooney scored in England's 3-1 win over Switzerland on Tuesday. But this will be his first match back home following lurid tales of his sex sessions with prostitutes.
Roo, 24, left Everton for United six years ago and suffered major stick when he played back on Merseyside.
While he has received less flak at Goodison over the last couple of seasons, that is certain to change in the Premier League lunchtime clash on Saturday - with police set to step up security.

    United rue late Everton rally

Toffees score twice in stoppage-time to snatch point

Everton produced a dramatic injury-time comeback to claim a 3-3 draw at home to a Manchester United side missing Wayne Rooney.
With Rooney left out to avoid a barrage of abuse at his former Goodison Park stamping ground, United were comfortably on course for a first away win of the season when leading 3-1 into stoppage-time.
But Tim Cahill's header revived a flagging Everton side and the Australian then nodded the ball back for Mikel Arteta to volley home a sensational equaliser.
Everton dominated the opening exchanges and saw Arteta's free-kick brush the crossbar before United responded through the unlikely source of John O'Shea, whose searing volley crashed off the woodwork.
There was a tremendous ebb and flow to the contest, but it was Everton's Tim Howard who was the busiest keeper as he produced a brilliant reflex save with his foot to prevent Paul Scholes' deflected shot flying into the net.
Howard's next save denied Ryan Giggs and, from the ensuing corner, Everton broke to take the lead on 39 minutes through Steven Pienaar's tidy finish after Arteta had been thwarted by Edwin van der Sar.
But Everton were unable to hold on to the lead until half-time as United drew level two minutes before the break when Darren Fletcher guided Nani's excellent cross beyond the exposed Howard.
And within two minutes of the start of the second half United were in front after another superb ball in from Nani was headed past Howard by the unmarked Nemanja Vidic.
United appeared to put the game to bed on 66 minutes when Scholes' searching pass was brought under control by Dimitar Berbatov with his first touch and, with his second, the Bulgarian nonchalantly flicked his shot past Howard.
Everton refused to give up and were rewarded when Cahill and Arteta conjured up an unlikely point to deny Sir Alex Ferguson victory in his 700th Premier League game.

    Premier League round-up

United come unstuck; Blues march on; Magpies grounded; Zamora woe

Everton's late fightback stunned Manchester United, Chelsea charged on against West Ham and Blackpool triumphed against Newcastle at St James' Park.
Manchester City dropped two points as they were held by Blackburn, while Fulham overcame the loss of Bobby Zamora to defeat Wolves.
Arsenal overcame 10-man Bolton, Tottenham suffered another injury blow in their draw at West Brom and Lee Cattermole saw red again for Sunderland.
Everton produced a stunning recovery with two goals in added time to secure a 3-3 draw against Manchester United at Goodison Park.
The Red Devils, who left Wayne Rooney out of their squad against his former club, looked to be cruising at 3-1 up after goals from Darren Fletcher, Nemanja Vidic and Dimitar Berbatov cancelled out Steven Pienaar's opener.
Tim Cahill headed what looked to be a mere consolation for the Toffees in the first of three added minutes only for Mikel Arteta to lash home a deflected effort just 60 seconds later to send the home fans into raptures.
Chelsea continue to set the pace in the Premier League while West Ham prop up the table with the champions triumphing 3-1 at Upton Park.
The on-form Blues wasted little time in stamping their authority on the struggling Hammers with two goals in the opening 18 minutes, with the hosts complicit in their own downfall.
First, Carlton Cole could only divert Michael Essien's header into his own net, before Rob Green spilled a tame Didier Drogba free-kick and Salomon Kalou cashed in on the rebound.
Essien was on target again in the closing stages with Scott Parker's late response scant consolation for under pressure Avram Grant, although there was still time for Frederic Piquionne to somehow head against the bar from point-blank range.

    No mistake

Blackpool triumphed in the battle of the promoted sides at St James' Park with Charlie Adam and DJ Campbell on the mark to sink Newcastle 2-0.
Adam made no mistake from the spot shortly before the interval after Alan Smith had been penalised for a clear foul on Luke Varney.
And Campbell sent the Magpies fans heading for the exits when he found the back of the net with a neat finish from the edge of the box.
Manchester City's bid to force their way into the Premier League elite suffered another setback as they dropped two home points in a 1-1 draw with local rivals Blackburn.
Joe Hart and Kolo Toure combined to gift Blackburn the opener with neither player taking the opportunity to clear and allowing Nikola Kalinic to roll home into an empty net.
Patrick Vieira levelled for the hosts 10 minutes after the break but despite the best efforts of Carlos Tevez and Jo they could not find a winner.
Fulham striker Zamora suffered a broken ankle in the 2-1 win over Wolves and needed oxygen as he was stretchered from the field.
Jelle Van Damme sneaked in at the far post to fire the visitors ahead in only the 10th minute before Zamora went down in obvious pain after a challenge from Karl Henry on the half hour mark.
But Moussa Dembele bagged a second-half brace - with the winner coming in the closing moments - while Christophe Berra saw red for two bookable offences.

    Injury blow

Arsenal made light of their striking shortages with a 4-1 victory over 10-man Bolton at Emirates Stadium.
Laurent Koscielny went from hero to villain for Arsenal as he fired them in front against Bolton before gifting the Trotters possession as Johan Elmander levelled before the break.
Marouane Chamakh had put the Gunners back in front before Gary Cahill was harshly dismissed by referee Stuart Atwell with Alex Song and Carlos Vela punishing the visitors in the closing stages.
Tottenham suffered yet another injury blow as they were forced to settle for a point following their 1-1 draw at West Brom.
Luka Modric fired Tottenham in front in the 27th minute after good work from Rafael van der Vaart and Roman Pavyluchenko, only to be forced off soon after following a number of heavy challenges before heading down the tunnel on crutches.
And the Baggies were level prior to the break as William Gallas was found wanting by Marc-Antoine Fortune, with Chris Brunt nodding home from point-blank range.
Asamoah Gyan repaid the first instalment of his £13million transfer but 10-man Sunderland were forced to settle for a point against Wigan at the DW Stadium.
Lee Cattermole, who insisted prior to the game that he wasn't a dirty player, received his second red card in three Premier League appearances in only the 22nd minute of Sunderland's clash against former club Wigan.
The Black Cats continued to press and Gyan slotted home from close range after Jordan Henderson's sublime cross from the right flank, only for Antolin Alcaraz to cleverly glance home a late equaliser.
