FIRST LOOK
Hrithik’s Agneepath waits it out
Film’s release has been delayed; to hit theatres in January

Hrithik Roshan’s Agneepath has got a new release date. The film has been postponed to January 13, 2012. Producer Karan Johar explains the delay, saying, “I decided to postpone the film because we were fighting timelines. I didn’t wish to stress Karan Malhotra, the director remaking this cult classic. We have been having very gruelling schedules. I didn’t want to spoil anything for Karan and his crew by asking them to hurry through it. I have seen parts of the film, and what I saw blew my mind. That’s the reason why I want to nurture it and give it the dream release it deserves. I believe anything done in haste ends up a waste. Agneepath is very special for us.” Is the remake Dharma Productions’ gift to Hrithik, who celebrates his birthday on January 10? “When I postponed the film, the thought didn’t strike me,” says Karan. “I guess it is a happy coincidence that Agneepath will release a couple of days after his birthday.”

"Ra.One is virtual reality video game" - Sabu Cyril
He is a hundred and eight films and two thousand commercials old; he still yearns to learn more in spite of his veteran reputation in the film industry. He has worked in over fifty-five films with Priyadarshan alone. Over the years, Sabu Cyril has gained tremendous appreciation, as an art director with his eccentric ability to augment films with the authentic imagery that he brings to life in several Bollywood and Indian films. The seasoned art director has won several national and state awards with films like Thenmavin Kobathu, Om Shanti Om and recently Robot. He is currently working on three projects - Priyadarshan's Tezz, Shah Rukh's Ra.One and the next edition of Krrish. Bollywood Hungama brings you a candid conversation with Sabu Cyril the avant-garde Art Director to talk about, Ra.One, Agneepath, A.R Rahman buying an Oscar and recreating things with magi
"I am just helping him and making sure that Agneepath happens the way he has visualized it"______________
Compared to the first version, Agneepath has been conceived slightly differently, the look of the film is more rugged. Karan Malhotra, director of the film, had come over to my place to talk about the project. I am just helping him and making sure that Agneepath happens the way he has visualized it. With the director wanting a harsh terrain, I suggested that we shoot the film in Diu. It is somewhat a similar view where the whole unit was working on the film for forty-five days.
