Toss Rajasthan Royals chose to bat v Kings XI Punjab
Rajasthan Royals made several changes to their XI in a bid to break a run of four consecutive losses, even bringing in the fast bowler Shaun Tait for his first game of the season. Rahul Dravid chose to bat on the Mohali pitch which has retained its greenish tinge throughout this IPL.
Also coming back for Royals was Johan Botha in place of Brad Hogg while Tait replaced Owais Shah. Stuart Binny, Dishant Yagnik and Siddharth Trivedi also returned, in place of Amit Singh, Shreevats Goswami and Pankaj Singh. Kings XI Punjab were satisfied with only one change, Gurkeerat Singh making his IPL debut for Paras Dogra.
A loss today will leave Royals in a must-win situation for the remainder of their campaign; Kings XI have slightly more breathing space with an additional win.
