House of the dragons Season 2(E1-E6)

Hotd is not even remotely close to the league of Got 👎👎.........And that's sad.

Because Got S1-S4 was prestige TV. There was nothing like that before.

When Ned stark was killed, we cared. We rooted for Jon snow, Arya, Tyrion, Danerys. We hated the guts of Cersei & Jaime. We wanted to someone to wipe that smile of Geoffrey's face and give him his own medicine. We wanted to see Hound to kick some ass. Game of thrones alumni of characters are rich in PERSONALITY & CHARM.

Here we have dull, boring characters speaking mundane things in a serious melodramatic tone. WHERE IS THE FUN? HUMOR? LEVITY?

It's almost laughable that this seriousness has seeped into the overall visual aesthetics of the show. Colors are washed out, muted and dull just like it's characters.

Is that because it's supposed to be more realistic take? Because the story is more serious? Dark? Please....... It's just pathetic. It's a freaking fantasy show... Breakout some colors man... Turn up those contrast & color grading........ This is not an Italian noir crime drama..!!!!

It looks lifeless, just like it's characters👎👎.

Again & again, it's always about characters. If you are talented enough to make us like or root for the characters, you almost won. Plot is always secondary. In any medium this holds true - tv or cinema.

Veep Season 1-3:

A funny satire based on behind-the-scenes office politics of US vice president.

Featuring Julia Louis in her top form as the Vice president Selina Meyer.

But I don't think it is as funny as the American politics in real world right now

Veep Season 4-6

Excellent!! I have become a fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus!! Her portrayal is excellent as the Vice president Selina Meyer and her rise and fall at the white house.

Veep has a great cast, sharp insults, funny dialogues and probably the closest we can get to see on the working of American politics.

House of dragons Season 2(finale):

Talk about disappointment!!

Even if you skip this one and go straight to season 3, you are not going to miss much.

Filled with filler episodes, unfocused narration, confusing character motivations, sluggish pace, utterly boring subplots & bad dialogues.

WRITING IS BAD.

One thing is clear - there is a severe lack of likeable secondary characters (and main characters too).

Also some reason, they put the ONLY INTERESTING MAIN CHARACTER ON-BENCH for the whole season (DAEMON). And that hurts the show.

WHY HBO..................????

After putting out modern masterpieces like SUCCESSION & THE WHITE LOTUS, we expect better from the prestigious platform.
