Theatre :Shornur Melam
11 am Show Status:Full
Plot:- Kaththi is a story of a cunning theif Kathir and how he come's in to the life of Jeeva a social activist (The second Vijay)
Movie begins with a decent intro and innovative title cards...starts with good flow...First 30 minutes goes like usual tamil mass movie romance comedy tracks songs and all...then movie enters the plot ...Flashback scenes was a bit dragging... intravel punch was inspired by thupakki with added mass which makes the theatre roars ..second half goes in the right track which rocked by Vijays rocking dialogue delivery and mass appeal....especially the press meet dialogue in the pre climax period was jaw dropping......Performance wise Vijay rocked to the core...with spectacular dialogue delivery ..foot tapping dance moves and good character variations as kathir and jevaa......i was a bit disappointed with the songs of the movie but anirudh made a stunning come back with an haunting BGM which gives the perfect mass appeal to the script .....it spikes up the heroic image of Vijay all over the movie...The main winner is the script...which lags a bit at first half but becomes sharp as a sword at crucial moments Hatts off to ARM for packing such an important social message without loosing the mass element of a commercial entertainer..Some scenes might be illogical to neutrals but its a feast for fans ..Dialogues were tooo damn sharp just like the title....That two word communism dialogue and press meet speech was outstanding ...Sathish's one liners were quite good......Samantha's love track is a bit let down thankfully the scenes were less like every other mass movie heroine dancing for the songs and leave kinda role..Neil Nithin Mukesh's Villain role doesnt added the heavey punch but his Tamil dialogues was pretty decent..Overall its a Steady and sharp commercial entertainer packed with a powerfull social message...Dont expect a thupakki out of this..this one is not an edge of the seat thriller...its comes with a mix of mass ..emotions and a strong message.......So its a Sure shot Diwali Dhamakka in the theatres near you go for it
