Abrid shine's second outing is not as good as the first one to be honest. 'Action Hero Biju' is too detailed to be a movie and sometimes even bordering on the lines of a documentary. The tagline of the movie is justified to the core.
This is not your usual super cop story and there is no usual storyline, various incidents are presented in the form of different cases that S.I.Biju Paulose has to deal with. The novelty of the idea has to be appreciated but the execution of it falters big time.
First half of the movie is made watchable to an extent by adding some hilarious situations, whereas in the second half the movie takes on a serious and advising tone. The supporting characters have done a good job especially Suraj and Devi Ajith. The female lead is just limited to telephonic conversations with the hero. Music by Jerry Amaldev is not for this generation. Rajesh Murugesan's BGM also fails to make any impact.
Nivin Pauly's weakness in dialogue delivery is there to see for all in many of the scenes especially when he gets angry or agitated.
Thus, Abrid Shine disappoints this time by going into the minute details of a police officer's job, sometimes it gets irritating to the viewer, especially in a scene where all clauses of Section 326 of the IPC are read out.
