ജിസ്*ജോയി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ആദ്യ ചിത്രം ബൈസിക്കിള്* തീവ്*സാണ് അതൊരു വിജയചിത്രമല്ല. എന്നാല്* ആ സിനിമ മോശമാണെന്ന് ആരും പറഞ്ഞുകേട്ടിട്ടുമില്ല. ആ ധൈര്യം തന്നെയാണ് ജിസിനെ വീണ്ടും സിനിമ ചെയ്യാന്* പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള്* ഒരു മോണിട്ടറിന് മുന്നിലിരുന്ന് അയാള്* സിനിമ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതും അതിന്റെ പരിണിതിയാണ്. 'സണ്*ഡേ ഹോളിഡേ' എന്നാണ് സിനിമയുടെ പേര്. വാഴക്കാലയ്ക്ക് സമീപം വൈറസ് വീട്ടിലാണ് ചിത്രീകരണം. അവിടെ ആസിഫ്അലിയും ധര്*മ്മജന്* ബോള്*ഗാട്ടിയും പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന രംഗങ്ങളാണ് ചിത്രീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്. ബൈസിക്കിള്* തീവ്*സിലും ആസിഫ് അലിയായിരുന്നു ജിസ്*ജോയിയുടെ നായകന്*. ബൈസിക്കിള്* തീവ്*സിന് കഥയും തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണവുമെല്ലാം എഴുതിയത് ജിസ് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ സണ്*ഡേ ഹോളിഡേയുടെ കഥ മറ്റ് രണ്ടുപേരുടേതാണ്. കിരണിന്റെയും ഉരസുവിന്റെയും. അതിന് തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണവും മാത്രമേ ജിസ് എഴുതുന്നുള്ളൂ. അതും ഒരു കഥയാണെന്ന് ജിസ് പറയുന്നു. 'ബൈസിക്കിള്* തീവ്*സിനു'ശേഷം ധാരാളം കഥകള്* ഞാന്* കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ടൈംഷെഡ്യൂള്* വച്ച്. പക്ഷേ മനസ്സിനിഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കഥയും എവിടെനിന്നും കേട്ടില്ല. ഇതിനിടയില്* എപ്പോഴോ ആണ് രണ്ട് ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്* ഒരു സിനിമയുടെ കഥാസംഗ്രഹം നാലഞ്ചുപേജുകളിലായി എഴുതി എന്നെ ഏല്*പ്പിച്ചത്. കഥകള്* കേട്ടുകേട്ട് നിരാശനായി തീര്*ന്നതുകൊണ്ടാവണം ആ കഥയും എന്റെ ഷെല്*ഫിലെ അനവധി തിരക്കഥകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് തിരുകിവച്ചു. പക്ഷേ ആ ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്*ക്ക് എന്നെ വിടാന്* ഉദ്ദേശമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. കഥ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടില്ലെങ്കില്* അത് തിരിച്ചുതരണമെന്ന് ഒരിക്കല്* അവര്* പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്* എനിക്ക് എന്നോടുതന്നെ കുറ്റബോധം തോന്നി. ആ നിമിഷം ഞാന്* ആ കഥ തെരഞ്ഞ് കണ്ടെത്തി. മടക്കിനല്*കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് അത് വായിച്ചുനോക്കാമെന്ന് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. വായിച്ചുതീര്*ന്നപ്പോള്* അത്ഭുതമാണ് തോന്നിയത്. ഇതുവരെയും എവിടെയും പറയാത്ത ഒരു ലൗ ട്രാക്ക് അതിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അടുത്തദിവസം അവര്* വന്നപ്പോള്* ഞാനിക്കാര്യം അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു. പക്ഷേ അതുകൊണ്ട് മാത്രം സിനിമയാകുന്നില്ലെന്നും എന്റെ മനസ്സില്* ചില ആശയങ്ങള്* ഉണ്ടെന്നും അതുകൂടി എഴുതിചേര്*ക്കുന്നതില്* അപാകമുണ്ടോ എന്നും ഞാന്* അന്വേഷിച്ചു. അവര്*ക്ക് സന്തോഷമേയുണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. അങ്ങനെയാണ് സണ്*ഡേ ഹോളിഡേ ഈ രൂപത്തില്* പിറവി കൊള്ളുന്നത്. ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് രണ്ട് ലെയറുകളാണുള്ളത്. ആസിഫ്അലിയും സിദ്ധിക്കും ധര്*മ്മജന്* ബോള്*ഗാട്ടിയും അപര്*ണ്ണാ ബാലമുരളിയും ഭഗത്മാനുവലും നിര്*മ്മല്* പാലാഴിയും സുധീര്*കരമനയും കെ.പി.എ.സി. ലളിതയും ഒക്കെയുള്ളതാണ് ആദ്യത്തെ ലെയര്*. ഇതിലാണ് ലൗ ട്രാക്കുള്ളത്. നര്*മ്മത്തിന്റെ അകമ്പടിയുള്ളത്. രണ്ടാമത്തെ ലെയറിലുള്ളവരാണ് ശ്രീനിവാസനും ലാല്*ജോസും ആശാശരത്തും അലന്*സിയറുമൊക്കെ. കഥയില്* അവിടവിടെ ഈ രണ്ട് ലെയറുള്ളവരും വന്നുപോകുന്നുണ്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞാന്* പറഞ്ഞത് ഇതൊരു പരീക്ഷണചിത്രമാണെന്ന്.

Shruti Ramachandran Joins Asif Ali's Sunday Holiday

Shruti Ramachandran, the Pretham fame actress is appearing as one of the two female leads in Asif Ali starrer Sunday Holiday....

Shruti Ramachandran, the Pretham fame actress is back to the silver screen with Asif Ali's Sunday Holiday. In a recent interview, Shruti confirmed that she is appearing as one of the two female leads in the movie Sunday Holiday.
However, the actress refused to reveal more details regarding her character in the movie. Sunday Holiday will also feature Maheshinte Prathikaaram fame Aparna Balamurali as the female lead opposite Asif Ali.
Shruti Ramachandran made her acting debut with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer Njaan, directed by Ranjith. The dancer turned actress appeared as one of the three female leads in the movie, which was a critical success.

She rose to fame by playing the titular role in Pretham, the Jayasurya starring horror thriller directed by Ranjith Sankar. Shruti's portrayal of the spirit earned
wide appreciation from both the audiences and critics.

Sunday Holiday, which is said to be a comical entertainer which depicts the story of a father-son duo, is directed by Bicycle Thieves fame Jis Joy. The movie marks the second collaboration of the director with Asif Ali.
Sreenivasan, Director Lal Jose, Siddique, Asha Sharath, etc. essay the supporting roles in the movie. The team recently wrapped the shooting of Sunday Holiday, and is planning to release the movie by May 2017.

Sruti Ramachandran plays Asif Ali’s ex in Sunday Holiday

Actress Sruti Ramachandran, who played the ghost in Ranjith Sankar's Pretham, is now set to play a different role in Jis Joy's directorial, Sunday Holiday.



The romcom that features Asif Ali and Aparna Balamuralias lovers, will see Sruti essaying Asif's ex-girlfriend. The director tells us, "She will be playing a girl named Sithara and has an equally prominent role in the movie as Aparna. I cannot reveal much about her

role right now, as it will be a spoiler."



While Asif plays a youth named Amal from Kannur who lands in Kochi, Aparna essays the role of a smart girl, Anu, who falls in love with him and inspires him to chase his dreams. "In my previous movies, Njan and Pretham, I played a simple somewhat sober girl, but here I will be seen as a fun loving happy-go-lucky girl," says an excited Sruti, adding that it is the first time the audience will get to see her smiling on the silver screen.



Expected to release by May first week, the film is currently under post-production. "We have extensively shot the film in places such as Thalassery, Ottapalam, Ezhupunna and Ernakulam and the shoot was completed on March 9," says Jis. Sunday Holiday will also have Sreenivasan, director Lal Jose, Alencier and KPAC Lalitha playing important roles.
