KAATTU -My Review

Directer Arun Kumar Aravind who is well known for EE ADUTHA KALATHU, COCKTAIL & LEFT RIGHT LEFT,where LFL is my favourite from him ,hereby comes again with KAATTU ,written by son of Late Padmarajan's son Anandhapadmanabhan ,based on Padmarajan's short story.

Nuhakunnu & Chelleppan ,the extreme characters with emotions ,humanity,love and rivalry sets the plot which is based on the background of late 1970's .With a unique style of narrative ,the characters Nuhakunnu and Chelleppan is born and focusing more with them ,their life ,their relations,humanity,love,rivalry, forms the circular .


The portrayal of Nuhakunnu by Asif Ali is his best in my opinion ,he did it with most heartfull.
Murali Gopi as Chelleppan flashes the rememberance of Bharath Gopi in parts .
Varalakshmi and Manasa has nothing much to do but still they manages to be like the characters need .
Another promising acting is by Unni Rajan P Dev as Pauly .

Prashanth Raveendrans Photography adds the richness of frames ,which is real and appreciable.
Deepak Dev helps with BG score while ended up as par in Music .
Many of them will have an opinion to trim the length ,but I am quite satisfactory with the duration which is a bit slow in the second half especially towards the end but I likes this lag for an offbeat treatment of films .

Thyagarajan's action sequence in the climax makes a cinematic experience instead of realistic adds the negative part .
Arun Kumar arawind manages to capture a brilliant move of making with a plot which is somewhat week but with a commendable script by Anandhapadmanabhan .

I won't recommend every one to watch the movie on hearing my review .Go and watch with your own risk .But for audience who likes Arun Kumar movies ,Grab the ticket and feel the life characters played by Asif and Murali Gopi .And for others Choice is yours !!!
