This is strictly my personal view. I'm not talking on behalf of the audience.
Overall padam nannayi ishtapettu. Very interesting movie. Forensic fieldil aayathukondu kure scenoke sherikum ishtapettu. Pala padangalum casual aayi edutha karyangal ithil proper aayitu cheythitundu. Good thing they had forensic experts in the crew. Chila karyangal audiencenu dahikumo ennu doubt aanu.
Even psychological aspects were handled well.
First halfoke unpredictable reethiyilaayirunnu poyathu.
Story: a serial killer movie. Athre parayunullu. Anything more would spoil the experience. YouTube comment sectioniloke already spoil cheyunnu chilar. Maybe personal agendas.
Positives:
1. Very good storyline.
2. Good choice of casting. Tovino was apt for this role. Mamtha, Reba, pinne nammade Saiju ellarum bhangiyaki avaravarude roles.
3. Good choice for DOP. Close up shots of some procedure were awesome. Last sceneoke sherikum thrill feel cheyipichu.
4. Accuracy in scientific details. Pala midyadharanakalum debunk cheyunundu.
5. Editing of the shots was crisp.
6. Good, exciting twists. Interval block was stunning.
7. Good direction as debutants.
Negatives:
1. When will sound editors learn not to put bgm when important lines are delivered? Chilathoke clear aayilla.
2. Can predict the culprit, but the rest of the movie made up for it very well.
3. Some confusing scenes. May get clear in multiple watches.
Caution: disturbing scenes of violence against children. Athu expect cheyuka familyumayitu kerunnavar.
Rating: 4 / 5.
Verdict: sure hit. Audience enjoyed the movie. Claps for several scenes and at the end too.
Comparisons are unavoidable for sure. Every movie scores better on some factors than others. So enjoy each as it is, and kindly don't degrade a movie based solely on that comparison. Another day, another thriller.
Also, at some scenes the warning "violence against women is punishable" kept showing. I was thinking "oh come on, such violence against anyone is punishable". Although i respect why such a warning is present in our society, the ones behind it should know when to put and when not to. Last time I felt this was in the movie "June".
Finally a kind request to other members to not spoil anything in any thread. Some did for anjaam pathira.
Good times for mollywood!
