The industries should produce entertaining movies too which the industries which you mentioned dont. So they rely on Bollywood movies.

Karnataka in spite of restrictions what is happening there. Last years 4 out of top 5 grossers are non kannada films. Same in this year. Not a single kannada movie has collected even half of what other language films have collected.

They released Martin along with Vettaiyan. But now Vettaiyan is going to be the season winner in Karnataka because Martin is that bad.

Other South Indian states have rules to protect their language movies. The issue is only in Kerala.

Karnataka limits number of single theaters for non-Kannada movies. Almost all South Indian states have tax cut for their langauge movies. Movies have a huge impact on protecting the local culture and language . States like Maharashtra, Bengal, Odisha and Assam paid heavy price for ignoring their local movie industry. Hopefully we don't follow the same path.
