Saw the Tamil version in theatre. The plot can be considered as two parts. Pulling off the crime and foiling the crime. The first part is genius. But the second part a bit underwhelming.

In the novel, the plot is unveiled from the point of view of Albert. But the movie shifts between Albert and Maria. I think that created some lag.
