ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 10.15ഓടെ അഭിഭാഷകനൊപ്പമാണ് മുകേഷ് പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ ഹാജരായത്. ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യൽ 1.15 വരെ നീണ്ടു. വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി പോലീസും മരട് പോലീസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത രണ്ട് കേസുകളാണ് മുകേഷിനെതിരേ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഈ കേസുകളിലാണ് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യൽ നടന്നത്.

ലൈംഗിക പീഡന പരാതികളിന്മേൽ നേരത്തെ തന്നെ പരാതിക്കാരികളുടെ വിശദമായ മൊഴിയടക്കം പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണസംഘം ശേഖരിച്ചിരുന്നു. കൂടാതെ പ്രാഥമിക വിവരശേഖരണവും അന്വേഷണസംഘം നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് പ്രതികളെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന നടപടിയിലേക്ക് കടക്കുന്നത്. അതേസമയം, മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യം നൽകിക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഹർജിയിൽ പരാതിക്കാരിയുടെ മൊഴികളിൽ വൈരുദ്ധ്യമുണ്ടെന്ന് കോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.
ആലുവ സ്വദേശിയായ യുവതിയാണ് മുകേഷ്, മണിയന്*പിള്ള രാജു, അഡ്വ. ചന്ദ്രശേഖര്* അടക്കമുള്ള ഏഴ് പേർ ലൈംഗികമായി പീഡിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്ന് പരാതി ഉന്നയിച്ചത്. 2009-ലാണ് സംഭവം നടന്നതെന്നാണ് നടിയുടെ ആരോപണം. 13 വർഷം മുൻപ് സിനിമ ചിത്രീകരണവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് വടക്കാഞ്ചേരിയിലെ നക്ഷത്ര ഹോട്ടലിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ മുകേഷ് മോശമായി പെരുമാറിയെന്നാണ് ആക്ഷേപവുമായി മറ്റൊരു യുവതിയും രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നു.
നാടകമേ ഉലകം' എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ ചിത്രികരണത്തിനിടയിൽ മുകേഷ് കയറി പിടിച്ചുവെന്ന നടിയുടെ മൊഴി അന്വേഷണസംഘം വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി പോലീസിന് കൈമാറിയതിൻ്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ വടക്കാഞ്ചേരി പോലീസ് എഫ്. ഐ. ആർ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയുകയായിരുന്നു.

Govt Maintained Silence On Hema Committee Report For 5 Yrs, Allegations Came To Light Only After Court's Intervention: Kerala High Court
The Kerala High Court today expressed regret over the Government maintaining silence on the Hema Committee Report, which disclosed allegations of widespread sexual harassment and other issues faced by women in Malayalam film industry, for five long years.
While dismissing the anticipatory bail plea of actor Siddique in a rape case, Justice C. S. Dias observed,
"The Government of Kerala had appointed an Expert three member Committee headed by Justice K. Hema, a former Judge of this Court, to study and report the issues faced by women in cinema and suggest solutions to their problems. Although the Expert Committee submitted the report to the Government in 2019, mysteriously, the Government maintained a sphinx-like silence for five years. Ultimately, it was only through the intervention of this Court that the report saw the light of day."
The Court however said it would not comment on the aspect of the Government shelving the report and the future course to be taken with regard to the report, as a Division Bench was already examining the matter.
The Division Bench specially constituted to deal with matters related to the Hema Committee Report had recently asked the Government why it was inactive for all these years.

Kerala High Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail application filed by actor Siddique, booked for rape following release of Justice K. Hema Committee Report. The order was pronouncedby Justice C. S. Dias
Senior Counsel Adv. B. Raman Pillai appeared for the actor.
The complainant claims that the actor called her to Muscot Hotel in Trivandrum in the pretext of discussing a film and he raped and assaulted her there. The complaint was made to the Special Investigation Team constituted to investigate the incidents of sexual harassment in Malayalam film industry. The FIR was registered in the Museum Police Station, Trivandrum.
Actor Siddique in his petition said that the complainant, who is an ardent supporter and member of Women's Cinema Collective (WCC), is making these allegations because he conducted the press meet along with other officer bearers of the Association of Malayalam Movie Actors (AMMA) after the release of Justice Hema Committee report.
The actor also pointed that the same complainant had raised some allegations against him in 2019, but she changed the details now with the intention of getting him booked under non-bailable offences.
Counsel for the State however argued that even though there may be some minor variations in the statements, the complainant had named the actor publicly for misbehaving with her since 2019.
The plea was moved by Adv. Philip T. Varghese, Adv. Sujesh Menon V. B. Senior Counsel Adv B. Raman Pillai is engaged for appearance.
