Tamanna signs up for 'Jab We Met' remake
Corporate production house Moser Baer is currently producing a slew of films and one of them is the Tamil remake of the successful Hindi film 'Jab We Met' that starred Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
It is now confirmed and it is official. Tamanna will play the female lead of the film which is yet to be christened.
Bharath would don the male lead and would team up with Tamanna for the first time.
It is interesting to note that the first choice for the male lead was Dhanush. But then he was of the opinion that the role might be similar to his character in 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini'. Well, one has to recollect what happened earlier. Dhanush was the first choice for the film 'Kadhal' but then the actor turned it down giving the golden opportunity to Bharath.
Is history going to repeat itself here? Looks like it will.
One more 'Thalapathy' rises : Kadhal Thalapathy
It seems to be the season of Thalapathis in Kollywood. After Ilaya Thalapathy (Vijay), Puratchi Thalapathy (Vishal), Veera Thalapathy (Ritheesh) and Chinna Thalapathy (Bharath) it is now the turn of 'Boys' fame Siddarth to have a prefix before his name.
He has been called Kadhal Thalapathy in the promos of his forthcoming release in Tamil. Siddarth's blockbuster Telugu movie 'Aata' is being dubbed and released in tamil. In the promos, he has been referred to as Kadhal Thalapathy. The movie is titled in Tamil as 'Gilli Da'.
With his romantic films becoming big hits in Tollywood, no wonder he is being called Kadhal Thalapathy.

Kamal Haasan casts Venkatesh in Marmayogi
Kamal Haasan's Magnum opus 'Marma Yogi' is scouting for the cast and crew for the film which is about to start filming. The days of stardom is fading away and times of incongruity is happening these days. Popular star Venkatesh is being cast alongside Kamal Haasan in a very prominent role in the movie. Although surprising, this news bolsters to provoke a healthy scenario for the film industry and to elevate the market nationally.
Produced by Pyramid Saimira 'Marma Yogi' is being made in three languages, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Buzz is that Venkatesh was approached by Kamal to play a key role in the flick. After the narration of the story, Venkatesh immediately gave his consent to do the project. Earlier his films were dubbed from Telugu to Tamil and he had worked also in Hindi.
Adding to this, a known fact is Trisha and Shriya have been roped in to play the lead roles. The script is based on a historical era for which Trisha is undergoing phonetic training to speak Tamil in a quaint manner. Director Kamal has expressed his desire to make the actors lend their own voices for which the above drill is done.
Universal star Kamal Haasan seems to be slick in gathering elements to make the film a coup like his 'Dasavatharam'.
Samira Reddy opposite Ajith
Samira Reddy makes her debut in Kollywood through the film 'Vaaranam Ayiram', directed by Gautham Menon starring Surya. Sameera Reddy has worked with some of the best directors in Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and her roles in 'Musafir' and the award –winning 'Kaal Purush' were raved by critics. 'Vaaranam Ayiram' crew promises that we can see more of her once the film hits the screens.
Samira Reddy has been roped in to feature opposite Ajith in a yet to be titled movie which is produced by Sivaji Productions and Gautham Menon wields the Megaphone.
This is the first time that Gautham and Ajit are coming together and Gautham's chief marksman Harris Jayaraj is teaming up for Music to stun in this film too, as the duo has never parted or fallen short of expectations.
The movie would go to the floors on second of November soon after Ajith's 'Aegan' gets released on October 28.
