Billa stars in new flick

Seems like the success of the Tamil flick Billa has given a boost to its leading stars -- Ajith and Nayanthara.

Now the two are all set to star in Ayngaran International's film Aegan, which will be directed by choreographer Raju Sundaram, actor-director Prabhu Deva's [Images] brother.

Produced by Karunamoorthy and Arunpandiayan, the film is rumoured to be a remake of Farah Khan's [Images] Bollywood film, Main Hoon Na.

Others in the cast include Jayaram, Suhasini Manirathnam, Suman, Nasser, M S Baskar, Sriman and Navdeep of Arinthum Ariyamalum fame.

This will be Raju Sundaram's directorial debut. Raju Sundaram, who has choreographed more than 1000 songs in his career was earlier supposed to direct Dhanush's Parattai, but he opted out of the film.

Raju Sundaram has also scripted the film. S Ramakrishnan, who has written dialogues for Sandakozhi and Baba, pens the dialogues while Arjun Jana is the cinematographer.

The film's shooting is already underway in Hong Kong. From there the unit will be off to shoot songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raaja (he composed for Billa too) in Australia, New Zealand [Images] and England [Images].

It is official. It is confirmed that Ajith and Nayantara are doing a back to back movie after 'Billa'. They come together again for 'Aegan', produced by Ayngaran Internationals.

Raju Sundaram, who has choreographed for more than 1000 songs in his career as a dance master, handles the script and direction departments. S. Ramakrishnan, an eminent writer turned dialogue writer writes the dialogues for Aegan. He has recently written dialogues for films like ‘Sandakozhi’ and ‘Bheemaa’.

Details of more actors who participate in the movie have been officially announced. Veteran actors Suhasini Manirathnam, Jayaram, Suman, Nasser, M.S. Baskar and Sriman don important roles in the movie. ‘Arinthum Ariyamalum’ fame Navdeep too plays a crucial role.

Arjun Jana, one of the top cameramen in Tamil and Hindi film industries, will handle the camera for 'Aegan' and Yuvan Shankar Raja, who scored for highest number of films in 2007, scores the music. It may be recalled that it was Yuvan, who did music for 'Billa'.

Fifteen days of shooting has been taken place in Hong Kong and the unit will be shooting later in Australia, New Zealand and England.

Ajith believes that the movie would propel his career to another level.

Ultimate star Ajith will now join hands with Director Maadesh for the film ‘Thalaivan’. At present, busy shooting for the film Vithagan starring Vijaykanth in lead role, Director Madesh was involved in with some talks with Ajith over for a long time.

Deeply impressed from the narration of script, ultimate star has agreed to get roped into film. Soon after getting completed with the film directed by Raju Sundaram, this one would kick-start.

Speaking about this, Madesh says that once this film gets released, Thala fans will start addressing him as Thalaivan.

It is mentionable that Thalaivan is the title of yesteryear Tamil movie starring MGR and Jayalalitha in lead roles.
